Kari's Wedding

One week ago my dear friend Kari was married. The day started out with some showers, but as the morning went on, the July day turned beautiful - and hot! They wed at the couple's church in the morning, then celebrated with a boat ride brunch down the Mississippi. Guests were given classic coke bottles wrapped in their colors, along with a bottle opener signed with their names and date tied on.  Jesse had a really important test that afternoon, so my dad stepped as my date. Those dad's never let a girl down, do they? ;-)

Venetian Glass

Jesse gave me this set of Italian Venetian Glass jewelery last week. My favorite color and very unique. I love it.  Definitely a great idea if you're looking for someone fun, one-of-a-kind and not too expensive. :)

Semple Mansion

Alison's Wedding

My friend Alison got married Saturday at the Stillwater, MN public library - it was beautiful. Earthy, fresh and elegant sums up the atmosphere. She was stunning.

Annandale

It doesn't matter where you are, but who you are with. I spent the 4th of July with my family at our cabin after spending the last 15 years celebrating with friends. We didn't do anything out of the ordinary, just spent time together. We celebrated Independence Day by checking out Annadale's 4th of July celebration and had a fantastic time.

Sugar Lake

Hope you had a great 4th of July!  Sorry I don't have a great post for today - I'm on vacation at Sugar Lake (near Annandale and Maple Lake, MN).  We have a family cabin there, and it's wonderful.  Probably my favorite place on earth.  Be back next week!

Warrior Dash

This past weekend I ran in the Warrior Dash for my friend Kari's bachlorette party. (She ties the knot on July 21!) I've wanted to do this the past few years and now I finally did. It's a national obstacle 5K running event that takes place in different cities across the country.   I love running, but this 5Kwas out of my comfort zone, however completely awesome.  I totally recommend it.
