Edible Arrangements

by Meredith

A friend of ours just sent us a gift from Edible Arrangements. It was absolutely delightful and a wonderful surprise. I'll definitely go to them next time I'm looking for a gift to send a friend.

Blue Man Group

by Meredith

My mom and I saw the Blue Man Group for the first time last week.  We had been wanting to see it and wondering what to expect since we first heard about them in Las Vegas a few years ago. This is a clip of the finale - just awesome. Next time Jesse has got to come.  It was completely up his alley.

Patches

by Meredith

Last week I made one of the most klutsy mistakes I have in a long time. I thought the cap of my black permanent marker was on, and it wasn't, and made two big marks on my brand new pants.  Now they are perfect, except for two large black dots.  Solution? Patches!  I know they sound somewhat childlike, but I found this beautiful one at Michael's last weekend. I think it will be perfect and still look stylish for a 20-something year old.
Here's the patch on the pants... what do you think?

Pedal Pubbin'

by Meredith

This weekend my college friend's rented a Pedal Pub to cruise North East Minneapolis and celebrate Micaela's birthday. It was awesome and a great way to enjoy a night on the town in a new way, get some light exercise and enjoy a cool brew.

Mom's Garden

by Meredith

Many joys took place over my weekend.  Dani and Mike got married and my mom came home from the hospital - hopefully for the final time. Even though her speech is still struggling, the rest of her is not.  On the road to recovery I keep reminding her of how much she has improved already and that there are other ways one can communicate.  I know she'll get back to old-self in just a matter of time.  Both her and I lack patience at times, but we encourage one another to get through it when the other one of us need it most.  Recently one way she has found peace, and I think a way to communicate, is by spending time in her garden.  I love this sight.

Homemade Flowers

by Meredith

This weekend is my friend Dani's wedding.  I've known her for along time and I'm so excited for her to begin this new adventure with Mike.  I'm looking forward to being a bridesmaid too - my first time ever!  Back in January a group of us got together to make her floral centerpieces - homemade ponies, that will sit in blue mason jars.  I promised her I wouldn't share pictures of it until the wedding - so staying true to that promise I have, pretty close at least!  These are just adorable and 100% Dani.  Now, I'm just excited to see what they look like at the actual event!  She found the pattern online.  All you need is a lot of good material, scissors, cardboard and twigs.  Each take about 30 minutes to make.

Cheers to Dani and Mike!  May you have many years of love, happiness, success, good health and a little luck.

Rose Earrings

by Meredith

One of my favorite events each June is the Edina Art Fair. This past weekend I strolled the streets near 50th and France with my Dad and had a wonderful afternoon. My one purchase, sterling silver rose earrings.
