This past weekend Jesse and I visited Minnetonka Orchards in Minnetrista, Minnesota.  It was the perfect way to celebrate the first day of Autumn.

I finally made it to the University of Minnesota TCF stadium! It was a great night, even though it was chilly! And, the Gophers brought home a win against Syracuse, 17-10!

I love that anyone can become a star out of nowhere thanks to YouTube.  A perfect example is Psy and his Gangnam Style.  Even if he only gets 15 minutes of fame, it's been a good run worldwide.

The Original Traveling Photobooth

Here's a big shout out to The Traveling Photobooth - which has been a huge highlight of many recent events I've been at.  It's a fun way for people to easily show personality and get creative - and has a nice timeless touch.

Persimmon

I know this was almost two weeks ago, but it's been busy around here.  Here's a sneak preview from the September 1, 2012 Glover/ Kopczyk wedding at The Wilds in Prior Lake, Minnesota.  Honestly - this was the best bridal party I have been in.  Everyone was fun, easy going, happy to be part of the festivities and so willing to help with anything.  That's what it's all about, isn't it?

We look pretty nice don't we? Oh, I loved the color of these dresses (supposedly the most popular wedding color this summer) and especially paired with these flowers.  Plus, the dresses had pockets!  Amazing.

August 30, my friends and I had a great time cruising Lake Minnetonka, swimming and stopping at local bars to celebrate Sarah Glover's big wedding day.  It was absolutely awesome and I would do it again just to have a good time.

Dorine

Last Friday I lost a very special person in my life, my great aunt Dorine.  She was a wonderful woman.  She was someone I always looked up to and I will deeply miss her.  Even though she lived in Storm Lake, Iowa we saw each other at least a few times of year.  She lived almost 92 years on this earth, however it was still a shock.  She never had any big health problems and overcame many obstacles.  I guess I thought she would be here forever.  A little over a week ago, she suffered a massive stroke suddenly, and could not recover.

Growing up the oldest of eight kids on a farm, she never had a lot.  She didn't even finish high school - dropping out in 9th grade to help take care of her younger siblings.  She loved all of her family and friends and was always happy.  She never complained about anything - the little she had, the things that disappointed her in life or her health.  She always opened her home up to anyone who needed a place to stay and welcomed all visitors.  She had a strong faith and read scripture every day and said prayers very often for those who needed it. 

I love you Dorine and will miss you.  I know you'll always be with me.  I hope someday I can appreciate everything I have as much as you did and take on all of life's challenges with everything I have - just like you.
